FLU VACCINATIONS 2020
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will be delivering the flu vaccinations in a covered OUTDOOR area to the rear of the building, please note:
  • There will be no parking / no access to a toilet / no seating available
  • Face coverings MUST be worn
  • You should wear loose short sleeve clothing (& a warm jacket!)
  • You will be required to stand outside in a queue
  • You must bring your letter* with you or you will not get your vaccination
  • If you have a high temperature, a new or continuous cough or loss or change to your sense of smell or taste, or have been advised to self-isolate, DO NOT attend the surgery

*All eligible patients will be sent a letter in the next few weeks with the date & time of your appointment.

For flu vaccinations for housebound patients, please contact reception to arrange a District Nurse visit.

We ask for your patience and understanding this year as this is a new process for everyone. Our top priority is to ensure everyone’s safety.

APPOINTMENTS
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic we kindly ask all our patients to follow this guidance:
  • Do not attend the surgery unless you have been telephone triaged by a doctor who has specifically asked you to.
  • Everyone attending the surgery must now wear a mask.
  • Please only order the medicines that you need, this can be done via this website, via our prescription telephone line, or directly with your pharmacist and allow at least FIVE days from ordering your medicine to collection from the Community Pharmacy.
  • If you have a new continuous cough, fever, change in or loss of sense of taste or smell, or if you have had contact with someone with coronavirus DO NOT attend the surgery or pharmacist.
  • If you have coronavirus symptoms and can't manage these at home please telephone 111, if you have coronavirus symptoms and need advice, please visit www.nhsinform.scot/coronavirus for more information and details of how to manage your symptoms at home.

Please be reassured that our practice continues to remain open and we are starting to reintroduce some of our routine clinics and services.

OPENING HOURS
Monday - Friday 8am - 5.30pm and we are closed everyday between 1 - 2pm.

2020-21 Public Holidays
Please note the surgery will be closed on the following dates:

  • Friday 25th December 2020
  • Monday 28th December 2020
  • Friday 1st January 2021
  • Monday 4th January 2021

Training Afternoons

Recent Changes
Dr Linsey Stewart joined the practice as a GP Partner on Monday 3rd August
Dr Emily Paterson will be here for 4 months from July to November to complete the GP Returners Course after living in Southern Ireland for the last 8 years
Dr Jennifer Shennan started her first year of GP training with us on 5th August.
Dr Stefan Hindmarsh left on 4th August to complete his second year of GP training in the hospital, and will return to South Beach in August 2021 to complete his GP training.

MULTI-DISCIPLINARY TEAM
We now have a Physiotherapist, Clinical Pharmacist, Community Link Worker & soon to have a Mental Health Practitioner based at the surgery. Our dedicated team of Patient Advisors have now all been fully trained in sign-posting so they will ask for brief details on the reason you wish to make an appointment in order that they book the most appropriate clinician for you. Please be assured that everyone who works at the practice is bound by the same confidentiality agreement.
