NEWS & UPDATES

19/02/24
***Please note the Practice is currently short of 2 GPs and a Practice Nurse, We are aware how difficult it is for our patients to make an appointment but there are very few locum GPs available and there are no Practice Nurse locums, so without more clinicians we are very limited in what we can do to ease the situation, please be reassured that we are doing the very best we can in very difficult circumstances and we are grateful for your understanding and patience as well as all your lovely messages of support.  Thank you.***

APPOINTMENTS
We operate a telephone triage system, and if required you will be invited by the clinician to attend a face to face appointment. We also offer pre-bookable appointments 8-9am everyday for patients who work normal office hours. Please be aware we are experiencing a significant increase in people contacting the practice on a daily basis with a large proportion of patients requiring face to face appointments, please be patient, respectful and courteous to all our staff as we are doing the very best we can.

OPENING HOURS

If you require urgent medical attention during this time which cannot wait until the following day, please telephone the Ayrshire Urgent Care Service on 01563 826930. They will provide a clinical assessment if required and if you need to be seen by a GP, your GP Practice will contact you directly.

THE WAY YOU ACCESS URGENT CARE HAS CHANGED

  • For conditions where you would have previously attended A&E (if not immediately life threatening) you must now phone NHS24 on 111
  • You will then be triaged and either advised to self treat, seek care at your local pharmacy or optician, contact your own GP or be given an appointment to A&E.
  • If you are told you need to see your GP then this will be within a 3-5 day time frame.
  • 999 should still be called for life threatening emergencies.
  • Out of hours contact remains 111.
